For Paws Unleashed is owned and operated by Ashley Renton. Ashley grew up working on her parents cattle farm, went away to college in Columbia, Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications. She began her career as a Set Coordinator in the Television and Film industry, while living in Chicago. She had the opportunity to work with thousands of people and animals working as extras on television shows and films.

Ashley moved back to Kentucky and worked as an event planner for Seasons Catering and Special Events then moved on to manage hotels in Lexington and Eastern Kentucky. She has worked with a variety of hotel brands from Hilton hotels to Choice Hotels International as a General Manager and Regional Manager. She successfully turned her properties into winning multiple high achievement awards. Ashley’s compassion and love for animals pushed her to begin researching daycare, boarding, and grooming services. Over a three year time period she began to take her research along with her expertise in the hotel industry to create For Paws Unleashed. The heart of her vision was to create a luxury hotel for pets that would cater to each client’s needs and provide them with all the amenities to create a home away from home experience for every animal that walked through the door.

Thru Ashley’s compassion for animals, and her background in the hotel industry she began to research different types of boarding, daycare and grooming facilities, over a period of three years. Realizing that providing a facility much like a hotel in a plush, clean and safe environment for animals was what she needed to establish.

Ashley wanted to make a place where owners could feel comfortable about leaving their pet in a safe and caring environment. "I built a facility where customers come first. Safety, Cleanliness and Guest Service are top priorities. The vision of building a boarding facility that doesn’t look like a kennel and has the comforts of a home is exactly the place where I would feel comfortable leaving my pets. Most people love their pets like their kids and it can be stressful leaving your loved ones while you are away. So I took the concept of boarding only with a little twist. You will not find chain link indoor kennels here we have suites that are safe and clean and our guests get to play and be social with other guests. We have an amazing dedicated staff who are passionate about what we do and have a true love for our guests."
